# Can Audio Reference remix a song or change its genre?

Audio Reference is not a remixing or genre-transfer tool. It guides characteristics such as sound, mood, instrumentation, and production style.

Results may be less reliable when the requested output is substantially different from the uploaded reference — for example, when using a jazz reference to request a rap track.

Audio Reference is intended to guide a generation toward a similar style and sound. It is not designed for genre transformation.
