# Referral program

Paying Reception.ai customers can refer other businesses. The friend gets their first month free, and you receive account credit worth one month of your plan.

## Sharing your code

Go to **Settings** → **Billing** and find **Refer a friend**, or select **Refer a friend** in the sidebar. Select **Generate code** to create your code.

* Codes are 8 characters and are valid for 90 days.
* Select **Renew code** to extend the expiry. The code stays the same.
* The card shows how many workspaces have used your code.

Only workspace admins on a paid plan can generate codes.

## What your friend gets

Your friend enters the code in the **Referral code** field when choosing a plan, then selects **Validate**.

Each workspace can use one referral code, and you can't use your own code.

## What you get

When your friend makes their first payment, you receive account credit equal to one month of your plan's monthly price, and an email confirming the reward. The credit is applied to your next invoices.
